I recently purchased the excellent Half Life Orange Box game collection. This great disc contains:

• Half Life 2
• Half Life 2 Episode 1
• Half Life 2 Episode 2
• Portal
• Team Fortress 2

Whilst each of these are fantastic games, I feel I had to make a post about Portal. If you haven’t played it yet, then I strongly advise you do! It is one of the best and most original games of the year. Whilst it is fairly short, it is something you will want to play over and over again!

Now, I’m not going to give away the ending here (I don’t want to spoil it for you), but there is a great song during the credits that deserves a mention! Here is a video containing the song (song only, no ending sequence) and lyrics for you to copy and print out.

I was shown this video today by a good friend of mine. It is of the TV show SASUKE (”Ninja Warrior” over in the west), featuring an extremely impressive athlete called Makoto Nagano.

What does he do for a living? Well, Makoto is a 35 year old fisherman near Kagoshima. He spends 300 days a year at sea captaining his ship, the 28th Konpira Maru, where he works as a commercial fisherman as well as train for the competition. Out of over 1700 contestants he is one of the only 2 people who have completed the course. Very impressive!

The Best Halo 3 Kill Ever!?

For those of you that play Halo 3, you will know of it’s great feature of being able to record and playback game data from a number of previous matches. These can be saved and then shared with your friends (or enemies?).

Today I came across a video which has to be one of the best kills in Halo 3 ever! Sure, it’s mostly down to pure luck/chance, but it is one of the greatest kills I have seen so far.
