I think it would have been easy for some sort of "sorry". If to say sorry and ask to be able to publicly announce something. He has done just recently, and it looks as if it was worded by you.. lol  (helped maybe?).

I don't mind your input and discussion, but you always seem to attack people (me especially) more than support. You assume too much about me and love to pick away. You seem to almost exhaust yourself in trying to attack every weakness. I am just glad you are not my father, as I probably would have killed myself a long time ago.

You seemed to "vote for the underdog" in this purely as the opposing side, in an attempt to battle me all the way. In tough times friends need support, and it feels you let me down. I know it's good to look at both sides, but your delivery was more of an excuse to attack, than it was to reveal more of the other side.

Maybe that was not your intention, but you definately made things harder for me. It almost forced me to just ban, delete him, and move on with less hassle. It was a real struggle to reach as fair a decision as possible (to both Lunicks, me, and the community. Not just to one individual).

I think a 2 week ban will probably be enough here. I will need to talk with others involved. At the moment though, I feel exhausted and very deflated.

I feel that this is pretty fair, it will give anyone who has been affected time to get over the issue, and as a result (hopefully) not feel any long-standing bitterness towards Lunicks. And obviously, Lunicks hopefully won't feel like an outcast for much longer. Forgiveness and all that...

It possibly was just an error in judgement, or possibly a means of making a statement. Whatever the motive, only Lunicks really knows, we can argue away forever and get no closer to the truth. So that whole issue aside, and contrary to what some have said, a general apology would go a long way, in my opinion at least. It may/may not benefit Lunicks directly, but it will make everyone that was affected by this feel a little better. Isn't that the meaning of giving an apology?

I hope he does apologise when the opportunity arises. I know I personally would do my best to do so if I had seriously upset/offended anyone on this forum.

See here: http://www.noddegamra.co.uk/forum/general-discussion/mitch/0/

This is the most offensive thread (prior to this incident) that I recall on my time on this forum, and I feel this example demonstrates how best to post/link to controversial stuff, giving people the option of whether or not they wish to view it, with sufficient warnings.

As it was, we were all faced with those images, with no choice in the matter, images which I for one will never forget. Plus the fact that they involved a victim, torture, and a death, whereas Mitch and two girls one cup involved willing (if twisted) participants, who survived their shitty ordeals. That's the difference.

I'm wondering where Yali is, as I know she was very upset too...

Even though I'm not a common poster, and only involved in this incident through curiosisty and the good fortune to stumble upon an excellent guild on World of Warcraft, I feel moved enough to comment.

I don't personally feel 2 weeks is enough. I have no knowledge of any of his past, or surrent situation, but I still feel that threatening anyone like that is unnacceptable in pretty much any situation. Even though I've been desensitised to the full effect of those pictures by a particularly gore-ridden past, I still find this sickening to an exceptional degree.
I also feel that someone who does that, whether it's because they mean it or find it funny, should have a serious black mark beside any apology they give. Maybe it's just me being cynical, but I've found it that anyone who has the bloody mindedness to do something along those lines often finds hit hard to feel any real guilt.

I know this vote doesn't hold much sway, but I couldn't sit by and let my voice be unheard.
Thanks for your time.

Good points Marlenus, thanks for giving us all (including Lunicks!) an unbiased viewpoint.

Certainly gives food for thought

I'm removing this because it's stupid and I don't want to prolong the arguement. Nodd, if you want to know what I originally wrote you can have it in a PM. But I shan't continue here.

I'm wondering where Yali is, as I know she was very upset too...

Yali's been blackmailed by her internet company so that she has little to no forum access at this point in time. However, she would like to take this opportunity to state that she is most definately not positive about a return of the subject any time soon.

Let's just say that I'd be happy if he wouldn't be permanently back before I was. (which will take 2-3 weeks, from the way it looks atm >.<) Can't really voice my opinion before that time. I'll send Nodd a pm with my accessable e-mailaccount (the one I can access on my phone) so that any questions/remarks/whatever can be asked when needed)
