The start of a new group/section

I was wondering what everyones views would be on nodd opening a new section either in general discussion or a whole new section of the forum for whats on ppls minds.

Im talking about problems that need to be solved or if someone is having difficulties with certain issues, like the post i put up about needing advice. Im very grateful that u all didnt take the piss and were honest and open about what u thought and it was a great help but i just feel that it wasnt the place for general discussion but i didnt know where else to place it.

If u think it will just end up a joke and no one will use it then it will have to just go in then general discussion section, if u think it could be worth a try then speak up.

Like a group therapy board? I don't think that would fit.
I feel that only a certain user group (read: GIRLS) would read/write there anyway.

Thats fair enough mate, i just thought that way if the ppl not interested in reading whats put know where it all is and can avoid it, im sure alot of ppl didnt really wanna get involved in what i put in the general discussion.

Lunicks has a point that the audience for this sort of thing at the moment may be quite limited. Hopefully more people will express what they think about the idea. If a new section doesn't get added, you can always create a new topic on the subject. It means you still get to talk about what you want, but there just isn't an area dedicated to it. This is why the "general board" is needed, to catch all those miscellaneous topics/posts

Another way around this is to propose a category a little more generalised, that still contains your topic of choice. It's like there could be a topic that could cover thoughts on dreams, paranormal activity, ghosts, religeon, and requested help on certain thoughts/troubles you have. So a sort of "thoughts and opinions" section? I'm not sure how that would work, as a lot of us just like to be silly here. But there could be a demand for it? If not now, maybe in the future? (if noddegamra gets a lot more popular?)

How about a sub-board of General called "Serious Business" where people are warned to be serious and anyone taking the piss will have their posts deleted?

That's a really good idea   It would certainly help filter the posts so people would get the sort of responses they are hoping for
