my mate has wii fit. He does loads of sports, walks and cycles to work, eats loads of fruit and veg. He is a nutter. He said elements of it are a really good workout.

Essentially the parts of it that don't really require the WiiFit "controller" I'll wager. May as well just put the Yellow Pages on the floor for most of the workouts.

I would get it if it wasn't £70.

And LOL @ the advertisement in GameStation that says you can get it for £20 if you trade in Guitar Hero III - who's seriously going to do that?

does Ironbat not like it?

I went to hampton yesterday after work to see if there was a copy I could pickup/buy. Tesco was empty and GAME was only accepting pre-orders. Oh well, I'm going to have to wait  Undecided

The one in town wasn't.

Trust you to go all the way out to Hampton for no real reason.

He does, but he doesn't want to use the word amazing. I think he's saving it for nebula's and aurora borealis. I think the only other time he's used the word amazing was when he caught his reflection doing the crab dance.

Right to set the record straight this is what I think of GTA 4. It’s a good solid game that I’m really enjoying playing, however it’s definitely suffering from over hyper and fanboyism. It’s basically the same game as the others (not a bad thing) only with the following benefits:

Better graphics
Better storyline
Better mini-games
Useful sat nav

Some bad things are:

Girlfriends:
They seem tacked on, they don’t really add much to the game. You just go on dates. I was hoping for more plot involvement and activities. Maybe being able to hang around theirs or something.

Mobile phone
At first you think "Cool everything is managed through my phone, what a clever and convenient thing". This is until you have people ringing you every 5 mins asking you to do missions! I don’t like this because basically you have to turn people down if your already on a mission and it also means you cant really freestyle it as you got people wanting you to do their shit. *Update: Just been told you can put the phone on sleep mode to avoid this. Except when your already on a misson, then you still have to skank someone

Lack of interactivity with enviroment
This is a minor point but it annoyes me how you cant enter most buildings or open cuboards, pickup phones, turn on taps etc

It’s certainly not the best game ever, despite what the reviewers seem to think.

8.5/10.

I think the only other time he's used the word amazing was when he caught his reflection doing the crab dance.

Hahahaha XD

Lack of interactivity with the environment? Damn, that's not good Sad I like to open cupboards and turn on taps for some reason...I'd always do it when I'd play Max Payne or Splinter Cell.

lol, you can say that about any sequel (apart from the last 2 points). It's not really the most heavily weighted critisism. You could say Half-Life 2

"Half-Life 2 is the same as DOOM (not a bad thing) only with the following benefits:
Better graphics
Better storyline
Head Crabs
Useful crowbar
"

Anyway, GTA IV looks great. I'm looking forward to playing it. Yes, I imagine most of the core gameplay is similar, but thats what people get it for, right? A better version of the previous classic with added extras? It is VERY hard to make a sequel trully unique to it's predesessors. Infact, if it was totally different, wouldn't you just brand it as an entirely different game?

"Zip through levels in the new GTA IV, starring an amazing electrical egg called Barry that can see through time! Turn buildings into jelly and defeat the evil Snarples. With over 2000 levels of underwater fun, your bound to love this new GTA game!".

Errrmm...

hehe

I think Rockstar have done the right thing..  Wink
