Anyway, GTA IV looks great. I'm looking forward to playing it.

Hard not to value IronBat's opinion over yours, since he's played it and you haven't.  Undecided

This is what Grand Theft Auto is doing to our kids!

LOL he's not even particularly sorry.

They should stop making American cars so easy to drive. You think a little kid like that could have managed clutch-control and a stick-shift? I don't think so. Bloody Americans and their lazy cruise-control lifestyle. If the same proportion of automatic cars were being driven in this country as in the USA, there'd be far more accidents from people just not concentrating on what they're doing.

Anyway, GTA IV looks great. I'm looking forward to playing it. Yes, I imagine most of the core gameplay is similar, but thats what people get it for, right? A better version of the previous classic with added extras? It is VERY hard to make a sequel trully unique to it's predesessors. Infact, if it was totally different, wouldn't you just brand it as an entirely different game?

Splinter Cell: Conviction Wink

Flips everything that the game is about on its head, and I love that.

lol, you can say that about any sequel (apart from the last 2 points). It's not really the most heavily weighted critisism. You could say Half-Life 2

Are you on loony pills?

1. Why are you making an issue of this review? My list was a summary of the good points, or would you prefer I wrote a 1 page essay on each point? Does length somehow make the point more valid?

2. No its not a given that a sequel will have any of those things! The game could have worse plot, many sequels do!

3. Half-Life isnt a sequel to Doom.

4. It wasnt being negative you fool!!!!!!  Kiss

Negative is good! I made a point of reading this negative review so not to risk being called a fanboy.

Ironbat, hugs and kisses all round

People can expect to start playing Grand Theft Auto IV, along with its "newly expanded multiplayer" modes, on November 18th if they live in North America, and November 21st if they live in Europe.

*ahem*

A warning to anybody who was hoping to play GTA IV on their PC:

20 Easy Steps to Starting GTA IV on Your PC

Sounds like it really sucks balls; maybe at one time I might have thought about buying it, but not now I've read that lovely list of bugs and the rigorous activation sequence. Seems like Microsoft would rather you played games on the XBOX 360 rather than a PC; remember how they directly ported Assassin's Creed and neglected to add a proper "exit" button? How lazy and half-assed is Microsoft going to end up?

ouch! that sucks!

I recently got to play it for an hour or so on xbox. It's great fun, I only wish I had more time to play it Sad

(it's not really a game I can play much, especially infront of kids or family)
