Blackwater is a private "contractor" that works in Iraq when there aren't enough soldiers around to do certain jobs.
Basically mercenaries. They've been in the news quite a bit because they are known for not being as disciplined as the army and have, in the past, gunned down civilians for no real reason.
blackwater do lots of things. their involvement in international affairs is a very small part. mostly they train police and bodyguards. they have 4 large well equipped training establishments they hire out. i just want to be an armourer.

No just the ones that try to kill you every day.
Radical muslimism pisses me off. But so do radical christians. Hindus. and every other religious extremist.
Extreme Buddism? Hmm. I can't quite picture that, they're not very extreme really. Well, there was that one dude who set fire to himself in protest.

That's because Buddhisme isn't really a religion, it's a philosophy. It's been turned into a religion by those who would like to categorize EVERYTHING. I would be categorized as a Satanist while I'm actually an Atheist (yes a true atheist not an agnostic). I do follow a path in life, but that's a philosophy not a religion. I deny the existense of a supreme omnipotent being and if you want to give me flack, I'll shoor back, but gently...call me a humanist if you will (though you probably wouldn't even call me late for dinner )

No Denomination. Atheism is also recognised in the army. You cant be forced to go to church.

The fact they put in on the dogtags says enough already. Why would anyone f'ing have to care what religious views someone has? And as for being forced into church, maybe your folks could do that to you when you were like 7 or 8 years old, but an adult? I'd never go into the army anyways, but if they'd try that shit on me I'd be awol within the first hour.

Because, if you are religious then you'll want people to know which religion when you're dead so that whatever rituals they themselves believe in can be carried out. I'm an Atheist but at least I respect the fact that some people do believe in God. You must consider the fact that somebody else might have feelings that you do not and that they would require the assurance that their body would be looked after properly following their death.

What I meant was it's a private or family issue, the services shouldn't have to know. I assume the families are (usually) informed in time to make this things known. Furthermore it would mean they would have to have at least one clergyman of every denomination present to ensure that those rituals and/or rites are carried out. Seeing as there are a great many bases where the troops are sent to, not counting conflict zones, because this can change within the space of a few hours. How many clergymen would be needed join the armed services to make this come about.

So you're asking your family to sacrifice some virgins and find some gold for you? I don't think my mother would be comfortable with that, but hey, you probably do it different over there in Greece.
