And because of the triumph in the winter war we have now possibility to get ourselves wasted as fins not as russians

And, btw, if it weren't for Imperial Russia raiding Sweden in 1809 and subsequently making Finland an autonomous "buffer state" between them and their enemy, you'd be getting wasted as Swedes instead.

Data must have changed since I last checked. All the scandinavian countries have claimed the rus homeland at some point, as well as the russains themselves. Sweden has the best claim as far as I can tell.

Correct, its not surprising, but not because the USA are shit (they've got alot of good players). Finland are excellent, they've finished in the top three in the past three world championships. Not as good as the UK (who remain unbeaten in olympic ice hockey) but still very good.
