Aeon Flux: Well, after the bad things I heard about this film I was bloody suprised at how good it was. Such beautiful imagery and a great story told well, but maybe you need to be a bit of a sci-fi geek to appreciate it as it didn't appeal to the mainstream (which is usually a good thing).

I have seen a few sight scene clips on youtube that were quite good, but I avoided seeing it.

Fair enough, care to expand? I've downloaded the cartoon series on which this film was based. I hear that the film didn't even come close to the greatness of the series, we will see.

You win a biscuit for accepting my opinion and not arguing mindlessly against it. Truly, you are made of the Right Stuff.
To expand, I felt it was a bit too far-fetched for its own good and, to coin one of Nodd's favourite criticisms of films: it used too much CGI and forgot that it needed a plot.

Sleeper (1973): This is a Woody Allen sci-fi comedy classic. I'll brush over the plot; a man wakes up 200 years later in a future world, where everything looks like a Tomorrows World prediction for the future Woody Allen conferred with Isaac Assimov over lunch to make sure the ideas were viable. It's got some classic lines in, I recommend you watch this.

Oldboy (2003): Well wow. I don't use the word "amazing" willy nilly, I save it for special occasions and this is one of those; Oldboy is amazing. It's a South Korean (subtitled) film about a drunk man who's life takes a turn for the worst when he is abducted. It has incredible dialogue, visuals, and a story so it works on so many levels. It is a tad fucked up though, so not something to watch with the family. If you plan to watch a film, make it Oldboy. Taken (2008): Well it's not often I see two brilliant films in one week but this is my week. Apparantly this film got terrible reviews but I do not understand why, this film is excellent! It's about a father who's daughter gets kidnapped and he does everything he can to get her back, but with fuckin' style The fighting is impressive (I'd like to know what style he was using) and it grips you all the way through. I can't recommend this highly enough!
