I'm at work so I can't check the link/watch the vid. Watchmen (if this is the right thing?) is a sort of "cult classic" graphic novel. It's funny, me and my girlfriend's brother were actually talking about this at the weekend on our camping trip. We actually talked about how it would be good if they made a movie of this. I come back and go onto the forum to find out it's true! How weird! If this is handled in a similar fashion to how Sin City was, it should be very exciting

I'm not really sure what I just watched, but it seemed good. Have no idea what the story is about though.. Care to explain?

No. There are easter eggs in this trailer, for the hardcore (losers) fans who watch trailers frame by frame.

STFUMORMON
Edit. It's just at around 1.30 into the trailer. The guy's points a walky talky at the screen and then it changes to a gun in the clip after, due to the fact that you're not allowed to have guns pointing at the audience. Although I think it's only for the trailer. Or something.

Is it a reference to ET? When they re-released that film, they changed all the guns the police were waving at the kids on bikes to walkies.

I didn't know you couldn't do that! Is that true for the UK? Why would such a rule exist?

I find that unlikely. Have you not seen any Bond movie ever? Or Dirty Harry?

Maybe it's a new rule to stop psychos from shooting up the screen?

If you look very very closely at the trailer, at 1:33, during the split second scene in which Adrian Veidt first swings a stanchion at a bad guy, you will notice that the bad guy is holding a large walkie-talkie in his hand rather than pointing a gun. This was done because the MPAA would not allow a scene depicting a gun being pointed at the camera in a regular green band trailer. The next scene shows the same bad guy holding a gun, but pointed away from the camera.
