hehehe i did think about doing something like that, but I thought I'd put it on hold until I get bored of WoW. I just wouldn't be able to commit any time to it.


+ Nice avatar Hudders! Personally I prefer the bigger pixels though so it looks more like Money Island, Day of the Tentacle and Sam&Max. The way I do it is to do an image in 50x50 with 1 pixel pencil. After I'm done I resize to 100x100 using "nearest neighbour" settings (to prevent any blurring). Seems to work well

More like Flight of the Amazon Queen, I'd say. Broken Sword is a bit too detailed.

EDIT: I resized mine to see what you meant. Had to redraw the face though as it completely disappeared!

Yeah, I mean your's looks more like Broken Sword because of the thin/small pixel size. It isn't as detailed as broken sword, but the pixel count is higher making i tlook more detailed than old lucas arts games.

Flight of the Amazon Queen and Monkey Island 2 use 3 shades of each colour (apart from the use of blacks at times, they tend to stick to just black with grey outline) for characters. Mine is more in the style of Monkey Island 1.

The hard bit with an adventure game will be the backgrounds. They take ages to draw. I'd have to do it in 160x120 and double it up to 360x240 (or is it 320x240?). It would be fun to do though

One room adventure perhaps?

The backgrounds don't necessarily have to be pixelled, there are plenty of adventure games that use so-called "watercolour" backgrounds. Provided they are sutibly saturated, they can fit in quite nicely with the rest of the game.
