Some things we MUST include: - Inventory Item or Prop: Bag of Sick
- Inventory Item or Prop: Yali's Spade
- Prop: The server (crappy - maybe powered by a hamster in a wheel?)
- Room: Hudders' Office (interactive character - busy making forum/blog posts)
- Locked Room: Hall of Navatars
In the world: And in the inventory: (went a bit overboard with the drop-shadow, and it perhaps shouldn't be as shaded in the inventory due to there not being a light source... ho hum.)

It's very good. The technique is very good, anyway.
But why don't you put some more expression in her face?
Why isn't she laughing maniacally or something?

It is cheating. I know my pixel art Mr Huffers The art is done in 3x3 pixels, whereas the gradients are done in 1x1 obviously using a gradient tool.

All the ones in that picture are using 3x3 pixels. EDIT: And if you went to the guy's actual site, you'd realise that the picture posted by iguanapunk is scaled up. The pic in his post is 620x6200, whilst the original is 480x4800. There's some pretty neat stuff on this site of all the other competition entries.

Sorry. I was so busy fingering my bumhole that I wasn't looking properly. They are 3x3 too. But I think he used a gradient tool for them. Some of it is really subtle. Too subtle for the human eye (so yes hudders, your superior eyeballs handed to you by Zeus will allow you to see them, and then turn each one into a marble, of which you can sell for profit).
So yes, cheating with gradients! No fat lines or cross hatching techniques. No fumbly wumblies, and certainly no foopahchoos.

I uhh... used a thing called "zoom". Hmm, I wonder whether you've heard of it?
