Sir Sean Connery will not play Indiana Jones's dad in the forthcoming fourth film of the series, the actor has confirmed.

Steven Spielberg is at the helm of the latest installment - slated for a 2008 release - which stars Harrison Ford, Ray Winstone, Cate Blanchett, and John Hurt. Connery, however, says in a statement on his website: "If anything could have pulled me out of retirement, it would have been an Indiana Jones film. But in the end, retirement is just too damned much fun."

So how many of these "confirmed" releases were actually released in 2008?

About half.

Released in 2008:
Quote:
Boogeyman 2 (straight to video)
Doomsday
The Deal
Inkheart
Ironman
Speedracer
The Chronicles Of Narnia: Prince Caspian
Indiana Jones And The City Of Gods (renamed Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull)
The Incredible Hulk
The Mummy 3
Hellboy 2
James Bond 22 (Quantum of Solace)
Madagascar 2: the crate escape
Rambo (new one)
The Dark Knight

Not released in 2008:
Quote:
The A Team
Halo
Jurassic Park IV
The Smurfs
Terminater 4 (2009)
X-Men 4
Wolverine (2009)
The Evil Dead
9 (2009)
Ice Age 3 (2009)
Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince (2009)
Star Trek (2009)

I'm still hoping for a Smurfs movie. :(

What's the obsession with Charmed lately? Bloody spam bots and their out of date tastes.
