I recently decided to setup a guild on World of Warcraft called Knights of Noddegamra. For those yet to play the game, you can play a slightly limited (level cap, no ability to trade, and a few other minor bits) 10 day trial or purchase the full version quite cheaply now.
At the moment the guild is quite small (as it’s only just started). If you would like to join us though, here are the details:
- Server: Eonar
- Type: PvE
- Faction: Alliance
- Guild Armory Page
- Contact for Invite: Karaké (me) or Joran
We have the basic tabard, but are currently saving (or I am atleast) for a guild bank. Geeks unite! lol

I think you’ve got some competition on WOW somehow…
Noddegamra
March 5th, 2008 at 12:14 pmHahahaha! Yes there are a lot of geeks on WoW, but the overall playerbase is quite diverse. This guild is just for people who play for fun really. Casual gamers I guess. Nothing too serious.
I just thought it would be nice to play alongside people who visit the site and forum. It’s sort of like a digital gathering. lol.
The Knights of Noddegamra is a guild setup to help each other with questing, levelling and crafting. I know there’s LOADS of guild like this, but people here seem to have a good sense of humour, which would make questing even more fun.
In the game, if you play alone you can encounter alot of douchebags. If you play within a guild, atleast you can quest with similar minded people making the overall experience much more enjoyable.

March 5th, 2008 at 1:10 pmHow much is it a month?
The website doesn’t say. Which I find suspicious myself.

March 5th, 2008 at 1:11 pmAlso: are all those people actually members of Noddegamra? I’m not sure what I think about a guild that’s supposed to be for the forum having other people in it.
Noddegamra
March 5th, 2008 at 3:12 pmI think WoW works out at about £8 per month. or £7.99!?
And as for the guild, yes it has some other people in it. In order to setup a guild you need atleast 9 people to join/sign the guild charter. Also, the people currently in it are like-minded in playing.
I’d like a full forum-membered-guild, but some of the guys don’t want to move from their servers (which is fair enough I guess). It’s good to have a decent number of members for help with questing and hopefully sharing items which aid with all the crafting abilities.

March 5th, 2008 at 3:56 pmDisappointed that there’s no bard class.
Noddegamra
March 5th, 2008 at 4:10 pmYeah that is a bit of a shame. I’d have also like the Gnome race to have more classes.

March 6th, 2008 at 6:54 pmHey I’m looking to actually join WoW, thing is I heard its near impossible to get accepted into a guild so you end up just wandering on your own… true?

March 6th, 2008 at 9:03 pmI still have a priest on that server from the last time we tried a Noddegamra guild.
If you were to move it over to the horge on the defias brotherhood, I could be much more helpful to people.

March 7th, 2008 at 8:53 amdesignermonkey - it’s false, atleast on the servers I’ve played on (about 10-15 of them). Infact it’s actually harder to get good people to stay in your guild. If you join, you are definately more than welcome to join ours!
p@ - yeah it’s a shame it didn’t work out last time. One of the reasons was lack of funding (all struggling to make money for tabard etc), oh, and as our levels were low it was hard to sort of get new people to join. It’s good to have a few people so there’s almost always someone online to quest with when others are offline. Like if I can’t play one night, it’s good to have a few members so the chances are atleast a few other people will be on.
With the guild I’m hoping to have it at a sort of “medium” level. Whilst I would like a few people in it, I don’t want it growing to the point that each member is just a number. I’d like a social, quite close guild who play through WoW together.
hudders - the armory site is a little unstable and does seem to go down fairly often recently. Sometimes just sections of it. Just the other day I could view every character apart from mine. Other days it displays me (the same character) in 3 guilds which is impossible! lol.

March 7th, 2008 at 9:21 amdesignermonkey - Last night I was invited to join three seperate guilds while I was waiting for Nodd to get online.

March 7th, 2008 at 9:37 amHahahahaha! That confirms my answer then I guess
lol - It was kool seeing you on there last night. Was also great questing with IronBat. It was so fun raiding those pirate ships!

March 7th, 2008 at 7:13 pmDesignermonkey, it’s hard to get accepted into an established guild because all the end game content has been available for so long. It’s kinda expected for people to be at a certain level. If not then everytime a new person joined the whole guild would have to back track to get the new person up to standard to continue raid progression. Obviously there’s usually a bit of a defecit in certain roles such as tanking, healing or damage output, which would make a guild more willing to accept a smal step backward to make progression easier/quicker.

March 14th, 2008 at 11:42 amI think your guild armory page link is out of date.
http://armory.wow-europe.com/guild-info.xml?r=Eonar&n=Knights+of+Noddegamra&p=1
Works much better.
